1. Tour & Guided Visit to Cacahuamilpa Underground Caves

 
 

Grutas de Cacahuamilpa National Park is located on the border of Morelos, Guerrero and the State of Mexico, located in the heart of the Sierra Madre del Sur this beautiful National Park with a warm semi-tropical climate, it has one of the Mexico's most incredible treasures, Grutas de Cacahuamilpa has an underground cave system estimated by scientists with more than 32 Kms in length, of which 2kms are open to the public to your visit to the public.

 

These Impressive grottos were discovered in 1834 by Manuel Sainz de la Peña Miranda and in 1936 They were declared a National Park by the then President of the Republic, Lázaro Cárdenas del Río. These places were inhabited by Chontales tribes in the Late Classic period after the Olmec culture, who used the caves to perform ceremonies and cults to their gods, These caves are considered among the largest and most impressive in the world.

 
 

> We will carry out a tour of the Cacahuamilpa Caves with a guide specialized where we will visit the main 15 Grotto vaults, in which we can observe an endless series of whimsical figures that will cause our admiration and we can learn about the geological history and historical of this magnificent place.

2. Walkthrow the Reserve and to the Entrance of the Underground Cave River

 
 

 >> We will take a tour of the reserve where we will descend through one of its canyons to visit the entrance of a second underground grotto through which the river that gave rise to Las Cacahuamilpa Grottos.

 

 

 

 

 

3. Free Time to Participate in Adventure Activities

 
 

 >> We will have free time to consume some food and be able to carry out some activities additional within the reserve, such as Zipline, Rappel and a Suspension Bridge that goes through the main canyon of the caves.

 

              

 

 

 

 

 

4. Visit to Xochicalco Archeological Zone (Optional)

 
 

Xochicalco is probably the archaeological zone of the most important classical period near the City of Mexico after Teotihuacan, since it was built around 650 AD, in the which we can find incredible pyramids, architectural structures, and engravings from this period, some even in better condition than his own Teotihuacan, which will allow us to know the aspects of the culture that I inhabit in this place hundreds of years ago that having the descendants of Teotihuacan, became the most important city in the Valley of Mexico and its surroundings from the end of the classical period.
